As a team, you will find ways to recruit participants, train them about self-help groups based on the proposal from previous workshop class, and help them initiate the group. Once the group starts, you will serve as advisors and facilitators to support and sustain the group. As a team, you might need to find guest speakers, volunteer as social activity organizers, and participate in the self-help group. You will also devise a way to measure the effectiveness of the group and collect data about group effectiveness. Finally, you will gather feedback from the participants and suggest adjustments to the self-help group manual as needed.
The format of the course will include team meetings and discussion hours.
