Course Objectives

This is a graduate seminar course focusing on Sartre's early philosophy. Its main objective is to provide an introductory comprehension of Sartre's phenomenology. We will study his phenomenological account of consciousness with a specific attention to imaginatioan and emotion. 

 


Course Content

Intensive discussion of the basic epistemological and ontological doctrines which have influenced the development of contemporary philosophy.
