Course Objectives

To develop knowledge of the philosophical thinking of Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari, on the topic of difference & identity with respect to self and psyche.


Course Content

The concepts of identity and difference from antiquity to the present; different conceptions of their relation; the question of their respective ontological priority; how identity has been conceived by thinkers from Plato to Kant; what is meant by the philosophy of difference.


Course Learning Outcomes

The student will obtain:

  • Training in presentation skills, textual interpretation, cooperative thinking, and academic writing.
  • Experience that should better enable them to deliver an advanced talk at an international conferenc
