Course Content
This course explores the intersection of çinematic art and philosophical inquiry. Through close analysis of films and philosophical texts, we examine how film can express, challenge, and expand philosophical ideas about İdentity, ethics, time, reality, and power. Topics may İnclude subjectivity, gender and race, existentialism, aesthetics, and the ethics and politics of spectatorship. Films serve both as objects of analysis and as mediums that perform philosophy in their own rİght.
