Course Objectives
The main objectives of this course are:
- Discuss the PVT properties of Hydrocarbon mixtures.
- Understand the importance of fluid sampling for fluid property measurements.
- Get familiarized with the laboratory measurements of PVT relationships.
Course Content
Pressure-volume-temperature relationships for liquid and gas hydrocarbons. Laboratory results and empirical correlations. Phase behavior of field hydrocarbons with CO2, N2 and other cases. (F)
Course Learning Outcomes
Student, who completed this course will be able to:
- characterize HC mixtures by using different Equation of States,
- analyze the experimental data from different PVT experiments
