Course Objectives

The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge of physical education in ancient societies, about the Middle Ages, and Modern Europe and Turkey; ancient, medieval, and modern philosophies; an analysis of the research literature related to historical foundations of physical education and sports.

Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

1- Discuss and understand basic concepts and philosophies of physical education and sports.

2- Review, explore, and discuss the history of physical education and sports in different societies. 

3-  Analyze changes that occurred in physical education and sports by the time.
