Course Objectives
It is aimed that students attending to this course will gain information on following items:
- Important minor periods of Jazz,
- Historic events that affected Jazz,
- Legends of Jazz and their contributions
This course will also help the students to increase their understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of music.
Course Content
The purpose of this course is to teach the art of jazz by giving main examples or studies of classic or modern jazz.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students attending to this course will:
- Be able to recognize Jazz song forms
- Know the characteristics of the following and be able to distinguish them: Traditional and modern forms of Jazz
