Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will understand the fundamentals of the fluid dynamics behind complex engineering problems.
At the end of this course, the student will learn the discretization schemes for steady-state diffusion problems.
At the end of this course, the student will learn the discretization schemes for steady-state diffusion problems.
At the end of this course, the student will learn the solution algorithms for two-dimensional steady viscous flows.
At the end of this course, the student will learn the algorithms for the solution of discretised equations.
At the end of this course, the student will learn basic concepts used for the discretisation of the solution domain.
Course Content
Conservation laws and boundary conditions,finite volume method for diffusion problems,finite volume method for convection-diffusion problems,solution algorithms for pressure-velocity coupling in steady flows,solution of discretization equations,implementation of SIMPLE algorithm for steady flows, implementation of SIMPLE algorithm for unsteady flows.
