Course Objectives

The aim of the graduate seminar course are the following:

  • The student is able to give a presentation on a topic in front of both general and expert mathematics audience. 
  • The student is able to develop/improve confidence in presentation skills and techniques.
  • The student is able to widen the scope of knowledge by requiring him/her to participate in seminars related to and different from his/her research topic.
  • The student is able to gain knowledge of what each other is doing in order to establish a sense of mathematical community.

Course Content

Presentation involving current research given by graduate students and invited speakers.


Course Learning Outcomes

Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:

  • prepare presentations on a research topic by using latex
  • develop a self-confidence in presentation skills and techniques
  • gain a knowledge of ongoing studies and researches in different areas of mathematics
