Course Content

The aim of this course is to study the influence of religion and nationalism in world politics. Examining closely the historical origins of moders international relations, the course revolves around the role of religion and nationalism as important determinants of politics at the international level. The course will study theories of secularism and nationalism and will concentrate also on the relationship between nationalism and religion.
