Course Objectives

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the main research areas and current issues in industrial engineering.
  • Evaluate scholarly articles, including both foundational and recent research papers.
  • Understand the research methods commonly used in industrial engineering.
  • Develop relevant research questions based on a review of the literature and identified gaps.
  • Communicate research findings clearly through presentations and discussions.
  • Create a focused research proposal or literature review on a selected topic.

Course Content

This course is designed to promote research interest in various areas of IE. References and state-of-the-art papers are discussed. (R)
