Course Objectives

  • Discuss a variety of approaches in designing, developing, and evaluating e-learning programs within human resources development and training contexts.
  • Select and apply e-learning activities that fit the objectives of the training.
  • Evaluate features of various e-learning technologies.
  • Develop measures for evaluating e-learning materials.
  • Synthesize research and resources on e-learning design and development.
  • Examine contemporary issues on e-learning for human resource development and professional development contexts.
  • Develop plans for the design and evaluation of e-learning programs.

Course Content

This course aims to provide necessary skills and background in construction and implementation criteria, and procedures for selection and evaluation of web-based training materials; synthesis of research and resources in the field. The course also underlines major steps and techniques used in design, development and evaluation of web-based training environments. Such contemporary issues as e-learning and WBT for human resource development and professional development also receive a considerable attention in this course.
