Course Objectives

By the end of this course the students will be able to;
1. know basic concepts of administrative sciences
2. understand management and managing organizations
3. apply basic concepts of management science to organizations
4. apply concepts, tools and models in resolving management cases in school setting
5. analyze issues in managerial practices in organizations
6. solve management problems in organization
7. propose research proposals for investigating  management issues
8. formulate structures and functions for organizations


Course Content

An investigation into educational organisations in terms of their design, climates and the other
characteristics as well as the related theories. Leadership, power and authority in relation to bureaucratic models, and hierarchical relationships. Organisation and management of the training function. Establishing mission for training. Developing policies and procedures for training in organisational perspective. Design for long term policies. Alternative structures for training activities. Emphasis on educational institutions/organisations, study of various issues and problems in Turkish educational institutions/organisations.
