Course Objectives
- To introduce students to the basics of Latin grammar and syntax.
- To develop students' ability to read and translate simple Latin texts.
- To build a foundational Latin vocabulary relevant to historical and literary texts.
- To familiarize students with Latin sentence structures and common linguistic patterns.
- To provide the necessary skills for further study in Latin historical sources.
Course Content
This course will be an introduction to Latin grammar and language by the study of simple texts, translation from Latin to Turkish.
Course Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Recognize and apply basic Latin grammar and syntax.
- Read and translate simple Latin texts into Turkish.
- Understand fundamental Latin vocabulary and common expressions.
- Develop analytical skills for interpreting Latin historical sources.
