Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to help students to comprehend counseling process and gain counseling skills under supervision by conducting counseling with real clients.


Course Content

Application of different techniques used in group counseling. Practicing group process and different stages of group counseling.


Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course students will be able to:

1. Comprehend the group counseling process and its stages Lead a group in supervised situation  and use counseling skills effectively

2. Attend and participate  actively in the encounter group experience as a group member for a personal growth/interpersonal process

3. Evaluate his/her self as a group counselor candidate in terms of strengths and areas to develop Behave ethically in group counseling practicum

4. Comprehend the function of supervision and the role-responsibilities of his/her self as a counselor candidate in counseling practicum process and use supervision effectively in counseling practicum

5. Be willing to conduct counseling and appreciate the importance of group counseling process
