By the end of this course, students will be able to
- define basic concepts related to character and value education
- describe several classifications of values
- differentiate between theories of character development
- acknowledge the relationship between parenting styles and character development
- identify the role of the school and the teacher in value education
- list teaching methods that can be used in character and value education
- relate the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance to value education
- interpret research and literature on character education in Turkey and other countries
