Course Content

The theory of seismic wave transmission applied to the determination of the properties of the Earth`s interior. The study of fault mechanisms in an elastic Earth. The physical principles underlying the design and operation of the seismograph. The selection of a seismograph for specific problems, the calibration and response characteristics. Installation and calibration of modern seismographs.
