Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- Be cognizant of the varieites of ways in which the main themes of the culture are reflected in everyday cultural patterns.
- Develop, through reading selections that provide insights into historical, social, and political, structures of the country, a backround sufficient to facilitate subsequent reading on Level B2.
Course Content
Readings texts of a high intellectual level from representative writers of philosophy, humanities, and social sciences in different centuries.
Course Learning Outcomes
Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- Read literary readings, poetry and plays
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze in a general way the fundamental components instrumental in developing literary appreciation.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and fuly comprehend a short unfamiliar selection of material
- Derive genuine enjoyment from reading experiences.
