Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, each student should be able to:

 

  • understand the goal of science education
  • develop insights about research and trends in science education
  • familiar with issues in science education research
  • analyze the strengths, weakness, and gaps of  the existing research
  • gain an experience on designing and conducting a scientific research

Course Content

Examines the current state of theory and research on learning, instruction, and curriculum in school science and mathematics. Review of selected research studies in mathematics and science education.

Student, who passed the course satisfactorily, will be able to:

  • familiar with recent studies of theory and perspectives on science education
