Course Objectives

Introduce a brief understanding of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system of the living beings; e.g. human posture and locomotor system. 


Course Content

The knee joint, foot and ankle, shoulder-arm complex, the elbow joint. Pathomechanics. Gait analysis.


Course Learning Outcomes

to learn essential anatomical and physiological aspects of the human neuro-muscular-skeletal system

ability to develop mathematical models of the human locomotor system

ability to create mathematical models of human joint control and dynamics 

gain a skill of understanding and analyzing human erect posture dynamics and control 

ability to design human quiet stance experiments in different sensory conditions 

acquire and develop human motion analysis laboratory skills such as collecting human stance and locomotion data, analysis of collected data in time, frequency, and phase space domains
