Course Objectives

By the end of the course the students will develop an independent project in science or mathematics education. 


Course Content

A project-based course designed to help presevice teachers to work on a theoretical or practical needs related to elementary science and mathematics education and their applications in classroom settings. To the extent practical, students are expected to develop projects related to their own primary area of study and give a seminar.


Course Learning Outcomes

  • develop an original project individually on a science/science education topic  
  • utilize the library, online and printed materials for research
  • take primary responsibility to develop a project and devote quality of time
  • show motivation and effort in producing quality of work
  • write a report of the study according to APA style
  • meet course instructor on a regular basis presented in the tentative course schedule below and present their progress
  • communicate their research practice in a scholarly environment as national or international conferences.
