Course Objectives

To build on knowledge, awareness related to sustainable use of natural resources, environmental education and education for sustainability and move the students toward understanding basic principles pertaining environmental issues and sustainability in the context of systematic thinking,
To develop a basis of understanding for the need for laboratory and outdoor applications in science, environmental education and education for sustainability,
To acquire a view on the way, how real life experiences are related with the basic principles of science, environment, economy and society toward sustainable use of natural resources,
To emphasize the integration of basic principles of scientific and environmental issues.


Course Content

Provides opportunities for students to be equipped with necessary skills and knowledge to access and evaluate science and environmental information upon which sound judgments can be made in conserving the environment through sustainable development and integrating basic principles into the real life cases.
