Course Objectives

At the end of the course the students will, 

  • understand how daily life and work can be adopted to improve the environment,
  • acquire awareness and sensitivity to the total environment,
  • acquire social values, strong feelings of concern for the environment and motivation for actively participating in its protection and improvement,
  • acquire a personal view of general and global environmental issues and sustainable use of natural resources,
  • understand that they are part of the natural circle. 

 


Course Content

To develop environmental insights in young people and to contribute to the development of an environmentally oriented behavior with purposeful awareness building and practical conversion. To offer an insight especially for people-society- technology-nature-sustainability relationship. To introduce the concept of environmental education with emphasis on the European Union’s policy.


Course Learning Outcomes

Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will:

  • have positive environmental attitudes and practices towards more environmentally – sustainable ways of living.
  • be aware that it is required to form an “environmentally-sensitive” culture to have a sustainable future.
  • be motivated to be active in participating in improving sustainable living conditions.
  • develop a personal view of global environmental issues and sustainable use of natural resources.
  • be able to integrate sustainability concept into their professionsl and daily lives.
