Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to acquire the advanced knowledge of the theoretical concepts of group counseling and their relations to group practice. Students are expected to participate in same activities in order to develop the basic skills necessary for applying the key concepts of group process in working with a variety of groups.

Course Learning Outcomes

Each student will participate in 10-12 group counseling sessions with the post-graduate counseling students. The student will be the leader in at least one of these sessions. The leader will be responsible for video-recording the session and submit the video type to the instructor. The student and instructor will examine the video-recording and the instructor will give feedback to the student as a leader. Following interview will be planned accordingly.
