Course Objectives
At the end of this course the students will be able to
· comprehend a variety of drama strategies throughout the curriculum.
· explain the effects of the integration of creative drama into educational research.

explain basic concepts such as creativity, drama, creative drama, play, ethno-drama, drama-based research, a/r/tography, communication-interaction, role-playing, dramatic play, animation, and improvisation.
· describe the components of the creative drama.
· discuss educational research through arts-based concepts, techniques and practices.
· explore examples of arts-based research.

discuss the potential of creative drama in education as a research methodology.

value the use of creative drama as a data collection tool in qualitative research.

Course Content
This course will introduce creative drama techniques used in educational settings and will deliver hands on experiences. Development of the individual or group collaborative creativity through use of dramatic play, imagination, improvisation, qualitative data collection, and curriculum building. This course provides researchers and educators with a with a general understanding of how creative drama can be integrated into teaching and qualitative research processes.
