Course Objectives

  • To provide students with an understanding of how economies function at macro-level
  • To provide an overview of macroeconomic issues such as the determination of output and aggregate income, employment, unemployment, interest rates, inflation,  open economies, the role of government and the operation of the monetary system.
  • Introduce basic models of macroeconomics and illustrate principles with the experience of Turkey and other economies.
