Course Objectives


Course Content

Study and comparison of the education of young children in selected countries from a comparative perspective. Emphasis is on the historical progress and the curriculum models applied in these countries.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • develop awareness and understanding of other countries from cultural, social, educational, geographic, political and economic points of view.
  • develop ability to reflect on, comprehend and respond to complex international issues related to early childhood education
  • develop understanding of the role of early childhood education in political and economic development.
