Course Objectives

To give the basic knowledge of spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis, IR, Mass, and NMR) to the students.

to give basic understanding of reading and interpreting spectra to deduce the structure.

to be able to report spectral data

 


Course Content

Analysis of organic molecular structures by the use of modern spectroscopic and spectrometric methods of UV, IR, mass, and NMR.


Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, we are expecting that the students can use spectroscopic data from Uv-Vis, IR , Mass, and NMR (1H and 13C) to elucidate organic structures.
