Course Objectives

CHEM 414 is the second semester of the undergraduate series CHEM 413 which provides an introduction to biochemistry at the undergraduate level. Based on the knowledge obtained through CHEM 413, CHEM 414 will provide students an appreciation and an understanding of key metabolic biochemistry and molecular biology concepts. The topics covered include important metabolic pathways and their regulations, bioenergetics, disorders of fuels metabolism, DNA replication, Transcription and RNA and Protein synthesis.

The students who passed this course will be able to describe  the central pathways of energy metabolism and central pathways for biosynthesis and degredation
