Course Objectives
The course aims to:
- Introduce the social, ethical and policy implications of AI.
- Inform about the dependability limitations of and teach robust approaches to AI.
- Inform about drawbacks of opaque approaches and teach explainable AI methods.
- Inform about the bias issues in AI and teach fairer AI methods.
Course Content
Ethical concepts and principles of trust and responsibility in AI; computational methods for dependability and i'obustness in AI; computational methods for explainability in AI; computational methods for bias and faii'ness in AI.
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will be expected to:
- Have awareness about the social, ethical and policy implications of AI.
- Understand the dependability limitations of and learn robust approaches to AI.
- Understand drawbacks of opaque approaches and learn explainable AI methods.
- Understand bias issues in AI and learn fairer AI methods.
