Course Objectives

The aim of the course could be summarized as to provide students with:

i.    Basics of gamification

ii.   Knowledge of the underlying interdisciplinary theories that nurtures gamification.

iii. Knowledge and mastery of the principles and processes that are conducted while designing a gamified experience.

iv.  Knowledge and synthesis of various Gamification examples applied in varying disciplines.

v. Creation of one’s own genuine gamified learning experience that provides more engaging and effective learning.


Course Content

Basics of gamification with a highly practical approach. Theoretical background of gamification. Fundamental elements of gamification. Design processes of gamification. Design principles of gamification. Real-life examples of gamification. Design of a gamified experience.
