Course Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of foundations and theoretical origins of HPT
  • Highlighting the importance of focusing on outcomes as a performance standard
  • Describe the rationale for conducting a performance analysis.
  • Highlight the focus areas for performance analysis.
  • Provide with the necessary skills for the implementations of HPT in organizational settings.
  • Determine the external and internal organizational environment elements that affect both organizational and group performance.
  • Have experience in implementation of HPT tools and techniques to workplace performance problems.
  • Recommend appropriate interventions based on identified gaps and causes.

Course Content

Provide a vehicle for foundations of Human Performance Technology (HPT) field. Highlight techniques, procedures, and approaches intended to solve problems involving human performance at organizational level. Examine HPT models, HPT processes, instructional / non-instructional and employee / organizational level interventions, management of HPT projects, standards and ethics in HPT, and future trends of HPT. Provide with practice to apply and critique HPT processes.

  • Analyze and determine the performance problems in an organizations
  • Design performance improvement solutions or programs for the performance problems in an organization.
