Course Objectives

Intermediate level steel design.  Provide backgound for intermediate level of design for steel structures.


Course Content

Load and resistance factor design, welded connections, principals of plastic design, introduction to plate girders, composite beams, high strength bolts, behavior under concentrated loads. Prerequisite: CE 388
