Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the student will learn:

  • governing equations of groundwater flow
  • basic concepts used in groundwater flow modeling
  • analytical and numerical models

Course Content

Governing equations of groundwater flow. Review of modeling techniques and their comparison. Analytical models. Numerical models by finite differences. Applications of selected models.


Course Learning Outcomes

1. The student will be able to use basic concepts to develop groundwater flow models.

2. The student will be able to solve groundwater related problems using analytical and numerical approaches.

3. The student will be able to compare and interpret results of analytical and numerical groundwater flow models.
