Course Objectives
During the course, the student is expected to acquire:
i) a clear understanding of the concepts of industrial relations;
ii) a foundation of the worldwide knowledge of the history of IR;
iii) knowledge of the contemporary issues of IR both in their own country and worldwide;
Course Content
The objective of the course is to acquaint the student with a general framework of the actual play of forces in the labor market ant the international and national levels, taking into consideration the rapid change in the structure of the labor force and industrial relations as a result of the developments in technology, globalization and new forms of work organization.
Prerequisite: BUS 321
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course the participants are expected to have:
i) an analytical understanding of employment and industrial relations;
ii) the ability of assessment of the change factor in all;
iii) the ability to discuss and forecast the future of industrial relations.
