Course Objectives
During the course, the student is expected to acquire:
i) a clear understanding of the concepts of HR/personnel management;
ii) a foundation of the knowledge of the history of HRM;
iii) knowledge of the contemporary trends and techniques of HRM both in their own country and worldwide; iv) the understanding and knowledge of employment and industrial relations.
Course Content
The Management of human resources in complex organizations. Personnel recruitment and selection; increasing employee effectiveness; employee and Management development; performance evaluation; motivation communication; employee morale; labor Management relations; grievance and disciplinary actions; incentives and security.
Course Learning Outcomes
And at the end of the course the participants are expected to have:
i) an analytical understanding of HRM, employment and industrial relations;
ii) the ability of assessment of the change factor in all;
iii) the ability to discuss and forecast the future of HR/personnel management and industrial relations.
