By the end of the course, the students will
- know about the historical development of oral history as a practice and field of study
- know about the methodological and theoretical issues and concerns raised in the literature about oral history
- problematize a topic as an oral history project
- practice interview, recording, transcribing skills involved in an oral history project
- analyze and evaluate the data collected in an oral history project
- show awareness for ethical and legal issues in an oral history project
- report and document an oral history project
