Course Objectives
Providing students not only with a basic background on Roman architecture but also hone reading and discussion skills.
Course Content
A critical survey of the major developments in the history of Roman architecture in Rome and the provinces. Adaptation and evolution with regard to the Roman architectural revolution.
Course Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the successful students are expected to:
- Be able to identify prominent ancient Roman buildings
- Acquire familiarity about the nature of scholarship on Roman architecture
- Develop their own views regarding various approaches to Roman architecture.
